Two beautiful souls taking a tour of where they fell in love.
Engagement session at a few of my favorite places. Enjoy!
I met Kelly and Aaron at Cup of Commonwealth in Lexington, Kentucky. They told me that this coffeeshop had particular sentimental significance to them having studied here together. Each of them grabbed a cup of coffee and reminisced about old times.
We then hopped over to Gratz Park on this beautiful fall day and took photos in the iconic gardens of the Hopemont House. The sun was setting just behind them which offered the most beautiful golden backdrop. Last, we caught the sunset on one of the Lexington rooftops. It was a beautiful fall evening, and I’m so excited to be shooting their wedding this fall!
Little extra tidbit: When we sat down to chat, Kelly and Aaron revealed to me that they felt utterly awkward infront of the camera. This is my favorite phrase from a couple because the photos from all of these kinds of sessions reveal two individuals glowing from being in love with each other, and that’s one of my personal goals is to capture that love on paper. I’ll let you decide if they look awkward 😉
